Town's reserves will play their second pre-season match away at scandal-mired League-newcomers Boston United on Monday (KO 7.30pm). The Blues have added Lewis Price and Erdem Artun the the squad which played at Saffron Walden on Thursday. |

Town have named a very young squad for the reserves friendly against Saffron Walden Town on Thursday (KO 7.30pm). The only senior player included is Gary Croft, perhaps illustrating how far the former Blackburn man is from the first team. |

Town gained well earned revenge for their recent 1-0 home (well Playford Road) defeat at the hands of Forest and David Johnson with a 2-1 victory at the City Ground in front of a few hundred frozen fans (including a handful of Tractor Boys). |

A freekick from Sean Friars late on saw Town beat the FA Premiership Reserve League (Southern Section) leaders Derby. The Rams had gone ahead in the first half, but Town struck back through Logan. Friars curler sealed it. |

Town's game with US side the Charleston Battery has been put off until next summer on the advice of Town's medical men. The game was set for the fixture gap between the Manchester City and Derby games, but the flights presumably were thought too gruelling ahead of Town's important last game of the season at Derby. |

Town's reserve side face Coventry tomorrow (7pm KO) with Richard Naylor continuing his return to fitness. Yesterday George Burley said that Naylor would be in contention for Town's Easter programme if things continue to go well. |

Further to the Marcus Stewart story from earlier this afternoon some of the younger Town players have signed new deals. Justin Miller, Ashley Nicholls and Lee Beevers are all committing themselves to new contracts, in Beevers' case his first. |

Goalkeepers played an important part in Town's reserves' defeat at home to Watford. Mike Salmon missed out with a knee injury, James Pullen was controversially sent off and sub Lee Hulyer made a spectacular howler. |
